FSN’s Carrington Street Premises is Officially Open!

We were delighted to officially open our new premises at 7 Carrington St, Lismore on the 5th of March. It was a meaningful afternoon, filled with connection, conversation and an opportunity to come together in a space designed for children, families and those that support them.

Sincere thanks to Aunty Jenny Smith for her Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony. We deeply appreciated her cultural guidance and the opportunity to respectfully acknowledge and prepare the space as we begin this next chapter on Bundjalung Country.

We also thank Janelle Saffin, Member for Lismore, for her ongoing support in helping us reach this milestone and for officially opening the space. Her continued commitment to our community is greatly valued.

Our Board Chair and Board Members are acknowledged for their leadership and commitment, which continue to guide and strengthen our organisation. We are especially grateful to those who travelled to be with us on the day, reflecting the depth of support and shared belief in this work.

Sincere thanks also to our funders, sector partners and community members who joined us to celebrate this milestone. Your presence and ongoing support are central to what we do, and it was wonderful to come together and recognise the shared commitment to children and families in our community.

The afternoon provided a valuable opportunity to show people through the community playgroup and family support spaces, particularly those who may not engage with our services directly, and to share the vision behind it. This space has been shaped by community, for community, and it was a privilege to celebrate together.
