Family Support Network were excited to host Wheels Day at the Lismore Skate Park during the spring school holidays, with the team from Truckshop SK8 facilitating the fun!
With skateboards and helmets supplied, young riders were ready to roll under the guidance of experienced coaches from Truckshop SK8. The group learned the basics of skateboarding—balance, stance, and movement, starting with a few wobbles and quickly gaining confidence as the morning unfolded.
The park was filled with laughter, encouragement, and shared celebration as children supported one another to build new skate skills. With music playing and the sun shining, the atmosphere was relaxed, energetic, and full of community spirit, in a safe and inclusive space.
Thank you to all the families who joined us and helped make the day fun, and to Truckshop SK8 for being absolutely amazing facilitators. We’re already looking forward to welcoming even more smiling faces next time!
