Families gathered at Wade Park over the April school holidays, taking creativity to new heights with FSN’s colourful kite making workshop.
Held on a beautiful sunny day, children arrived in high spirits, eager to start decorating their own kites with bright colours and unique designs. As we’ve seen across all the creative experiences offered through FSN’s school holiday programs, this arts-based activity inspired connection and community, with children and families spending time together, getting creative, and socialising while decorating their kites.
As each handmade kite took to the sky, the park came alive with colour, laughter and delighted children.
The workshop provided a relaxed and welcoming space for families to connect, collaborate, and enjoy a free, local outdoor activity over the holiday period. It was especially rewarding to see parents and children working side by side, and local families sharing a memorable experience of simplicity, creativity and community spirit.
We’d love to welcome you to our next free, community-based school holiday school holiday activities – find out what’s coming up via our What’s On calendar.
