Children thrive when their parents are supported — and when children thrive, families and communities flourish. Supporting parenting is one of the most powerful ways to promote healthy child development, family wellbeing, and the long-term health of our society.
Healthy development begins in the early years.
Early childhood is a critical time for brain development and social, emotional and physical skills-building. For children to have the best start in life, parents must be equipped with tools, knowledge, and support.
Every child needs supported parents to thrive.
Promoting positive parenting attitudes and practices helps children grow up safe, strong, and ready to learn — and creates a stronger future for all families.

Parents and carers living in the Lismore LGA can access our free, wholistic support to nurture healthy development for children and families.
Start Together
Our early childhood parent support program is designed for parents and caregivers of children aged 0–5 during the critical early years of
development. This program offers a blend of practical advice, emotional support, and connection to help families build strong, nurturing
relationships and confidently navigate the ups and downs of parenting.
Family Support
Our family support program offers practical help and compassionate guidance for families facing a range of life challenges. Whether you’re
navigating parenting, family stress, housing instability, or simply need someone to talk to, our team is here to support you in building a safe, stable,
and connected family life.
Play Together
Our supported playgroups offer a welcoming, inclusive space for parents, caregivers, and children (0–5 years) to play, learn, and grow together. Run by qualified facilitators, our playgroups provide fun, play-based learning experiences while also offering guidance, connection, and support for families.
Learn Together
Our parenting programs are designed to guide and empower parents and caregivers as they navigate the challenges and joys of raising children. These programs offer practical tools, evidence-based strategies, and a supportive environment to help families build strong, healthy relationships and promote positive child development.
Discover Together
Our free school holiday activities offer fun, family-friendly experiences designed to bring joy, connection, and creativity to the school break. These community-based activities give children and parents a chance to step away from their regular routine, spend quality time together and connect
with local families.
Community
Our community strengthening activities build community connections and enhance social cohesion, inclusion and wellbeing by linking families with their broader local network.
Intensive Family Preservation
Our intensive program is designed for families referred by DCJ to receive intensive, in-home support during challenging times to help them stay
safely together. The program strengthens parenting, improves wellbeing, and reduces the risk of children entering out-of-home care.
Our services are free of charge, supported by the NSW Government and strengthened by community donations and philanthropic support.
We are grateful for the partnerships that allow us to continue supporting children, young people, and families in our community.

Our main premises are in the Lismore CBD, open Monday-Friday. We also have a location in Nimbin operated by appointment.
