Family Support Network Inc is proud to announce the launch of it’s Aboriginal Tertiary Education Scholarship. This very significant initiative reflects our commitment to supporting the Indigenous community and helping to improve employment opportunities for Aboriginal people.
The scholarship is open to students studying a range of vocational qualifications either at TaFE Diploma or University Bachelor Degrees level or above and who have to undertake a work placement requirement as part of their learning/course commitments.
Vocational studies can include but not be limited to Social Services/Welfare, Community Services, Early Childhood, Health, Business Administration etc.
There is a formal application process assessed by a panel of FSN representatives.
Applications open in late February and close in late March.
A decision on the successful applicant will be made in late May.
- 300-400 hour student placement to work across service delivery or administration areas of FSN. This is a condition of the scholarship. If the applicant cannot undertake the placement then they cannot be considered.
- $3,500.00 cash payment to be used for educational resources/fees/costs or research.
- Payments will be made direct to cover the aforementioned costs no cash payments or fund transfers to personal accounts will be made.
- Payments can be made in progress/multiple payments or to different entities either during or at the end of the placement at the discretion of FSN management.
